Teacher Experience Week

Macmillan Training School is keen to support all individuals interested in pursuing a teaching career and especially Post 16 students/university students who are interested in becoming teachers of the future.

To this end we offer a Teacher Experience week in June, which provides delegates the opportunity to experience what life is like as a teacher (primary and secondary options available).

If you join us on the Teacher Experience week you will learn about teaching and learning pedagogy, pastoral roles, lesson planning, have the opportunity to observe/assist in the department or key stage of your choice, shadow students on a typical day at primary/secondary school and take part in a whole school event. This week is designed to give delegates a true feeling of what being a teacher really is and could be very useful preparation when applying for ITT places.

For more information and to register your interest please contact Amy Tumelty at Macmillan Academy Teaching school via email: TrainingSchool@macademy.org.uk
